Foard County Court Docket Searches
A Foard County court docket search starts with the court name printed on your paper. Check the citation, summons, petition, order, bond paper, or hearing notice. One combined County and District Clerk office runs the records for both trial courts. The Justice of the Peace and Crowell Municipal Court keep their own lower-court files. Appeals move to a separate state search. Foard County offers no official online search for its trial-court dockets. For statewide civil, filing, document, or hearing coverage where it exists, use re:SearchTX. Turn to Crowell's city-linked portal for a municipal citation. If the web route stalls, call the clerk's office directly. Ask about the case record you need.
- Identify the court and case type before searching.
- Use the exact case, cause, citation, or ticket number when known.
- Search the appropriate official portal and compare the court, style, and filing date.
- Read docket entries and settings as case events, not as the complete case file.
- Call, write, or visit the responsible clerk or lower court if no result appears.
- Ask separately for a plain or certified copy when the official document is needed.
Foard County Courthouse Docket Route
Per the Foard County government home page, the courthouse sits at 101 S. Main Street in Crowell, Texas 79227. The main county number is (940) 684-1424. District and county cases start at the combined clerk counter. Say which court the record belongs to, District or County. Bring the case number and tell the clerk exactly which record you want. ADA access uses the west basement door. The county publishes no counter hours, floor plan, security rules, parking map, or public terminal. So call before you travel. Ask where inspection happens. Also ask whether a docket sheet can be printed and what a copy costs. The county's own government site shows the official courthouse view.

The docket access route runs straight through Crowell. Nothing on the official page promises a self-service terminal or a modern justice center, so the clerk counter remains the point of contact.
Court Dockets: What They Show
A docket is a chronological register of case events. One line may show a filing date. Another may show a pleading or order entering the record, a hearing being set, or how a case reached a recorded disposition. None of that is the full file. A docket line can name a document even when the image itself must be requested, paid for, redacted, or withheld under law.
| Case or Cause Number | The court’s identifier. Foard County publishes no universal local format. |
|---|---|
| Style or Parties | The caption or descriptive case name used by the court. |
| Filed Date | The date a case or paper reached the clerk, not always the underlying event date. |
| Docket Entry | A dated line describing a filing, setting, order, or procedural act. |
| Hearing Setting | A scheduled event whose time, court, and location should be confirmed. |
| Disposition | The recorded outcome or status. Unfamiliar codes require clerk confirmation. |
A certified judgment, reporter's record, or filed exhibit may take a separate request. Foard County publishes no court-case copy fees, so ask before authorizing any work.
One Foard Clerk, Two Dockets
Paula Moore holds both clerk jobs today. The county's own County Clerk and District Clerk pages name her in each role, and county minutes from July 2025 call her County and District Clerk. Older state verification sheets list Debra Hopkins. Trust the later local sources, but confirm current office details before sending a request. One office still means two dockets. The District Clerk side serves the 46th District Court. The County Clerk side serves the constitutional County Court. Local District Clerk duties run from custody, security, docketing, and indexing to recording, filing, fees, funds in litigation, courtroom service, jury work, and docket management help. The staff cannot give legal advice. County Clerk staff say the same.

Foard County Courts and Their Dockets
Picking the right court decides where the docket lives. The 46th District Court holds general trial jurisdiction across Foard, Hardeman, and Wilbarger Counties. Foard County Court handles county-level matters. The JP and Crowell Municipal Court hear distinct lower-level cases, while the Seventh Court of Appeals holds the appellate record once an appeal reaches that court.
| Court | Docket covers | First search route |
|---|---|---|
| 46th District Court | Felony, major civil, family, juvenile, child protection | District Clerk; re:SearchTX where covered |
| Foard County Court | County criminal, civil, probate, juvenile, mental health | County Clerk |
| Foard County Justice of the Peace | Class C, traffic, eviction, debt, small civil | JP office at (940) 684-1917 |
| Crowell Municipal Court | City ordinance, Class C, municipal traffic | Official nCourt exact-number portal |
| Seventh Court of Appeals | Appellate cases and documents | Official appellate case search |
Federal cases sit outside this state ladder entirely. They run through PACER or the Northern District of Texas, and the official federal search page lays out that route.

PACER runs on its own account and fee rules. Never send a federal filing request to the Foard County clerk.
Foard iDocket Clue, Not Portal
A software clue, not a portal. Foard County budgets for 2022–2023 and 2024–2025 each carry an "I Docket" license line. The official e-file service-provider county list likewise names County Clerk, County Court, District Clerk, 46th District Court, and Justice of the Peace routes. Those sit inside the iDocket/eFileTexas ecosystem. So filing and case-management systems exist. None of it proves a free public docket website. eFileTexas exists to help attorneys and filers submit court documents. And re:SearchTX is a distinct statewide search layer. A case system can run behind the counter without ever exposing a public register. No iDocket public-search link appears on the county site.
Key distinction: A filing route sends papers to a court; a public docket route lets a reader inspect available case events.
A filer login or vendor page is not public inspection. Ask the clerk directly how the public can obtain the docket or a document.
Court Dates and Settings in Foard County
The county's Public Notices Calendar offers day, week, month, agenda, iCal, RSS, print, and download controls. It tracks public notices and county events. It does not verify case hearings. Commissioners Court agendas and minutes likewise cover government meetings, not individual civil, criminal, JP, or municipal settings. The county posts no case-settings calendar page. For a 46th District Court date, call coordinator Sherrie Gibson at (940) 552-7051. County and district case questions go to the combined clerk at (940) 684-1365. County Court uses (940) 684-1424. The JP uses (940) 684-1917. Crowell Municipal Court uses (940) 684-1014. The Foard County court schedule explains each channel and the difference between a statutory term and a case setting, so confirm the court, cause number, date, time, location, and setting type before you appear.
Foard County Dockets by Number
For raw scale, look at the FY 2024 district report. It is not a case list of Foard County names. It counts case flow instead. The county began the period with 130 pending matters. It added 87, disposed 77, and ended with 142 pending. Of that ending total, 81 were civil, 45 family, 0 juvenile, and 16 criminal. That 0 in the juvenile row reflects the reporting period only. It does not strip the clerk of juvenile jurisdiction.
The justice report measures a different court on a different scale. It shows 84 matters added. It lists 60 disposed and 730 ending pending across combined civil and criminal activity. Keep the two tables apart. Each one sums up aggregate court flow. So it tells you nothing about named people, individual docket entries, or today's workload.
Docket Access Under Texas Law
Court records in Texas sit outside the normal open-records path. The Texas Public Information Act binds executive agencies. But it generally does not reach the judiciary the same way. That surprises many requesters. Judicial administrative records fall under Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12. That rule has limits. Its definition generally excludes records created, produced, or filed in a matter before a court. That covers most docket material.
Key Texas rules:
Government Code chapter 552 sets the Public Information Act framework while recognizing the judiciary distinction.
Rule of Judicial Administration 12 supplies a process for qualifying judicial records, not a shortcut for an ordinary case file.
Civil Rules 76a and 21c address civil sealing and sensitive-data redaction.
Family Code chapter 58 governs juvenile-record confidentiality.
Send a routine docket or filed-document request straight to the court's clerk or the lower-court custodian. Ask which access rule applies rather than stamping every request as a Public Information Act request.
Restricted Foard County Docket Entries
Plenty of material never appears in a public Foard County docket. Some entries are simply omitted. Others are redacted. Expect gaps for juvenile information and sealed civil material. The same goes for protected identifiers, confidential mental-health records, and anything restricted by statute or court order. A missing result proves nothing. It does not mean no case exists. It does not mean a dismissal happened, or that the clerk skipped the docket entry. The record may simply live in another court or sit outside an online collection.
Two rules drive most sealing and redaction. Rule 76a presumes that covered civil court records stay open. It then allows sealing under its own stated test and process. Rule 21c requires sensitive data to be redacted or handled with care. Its examples include identification numbers, financial account data, birth dates, home addresses, and minor names. Juvenile access follows its own state law.
When an entry is missing, ask the custodian a direct question. Is the item sealed, redacted, confidential, not yet imaged, or held by another court? If an accessible or redacted version exists, request that one. Never push an office to reveal protected content.
How the Clerk Keeps Docket Records
The Foard County and District Clerk is one combined office. It receives, indexes, and safeguards papers for the courts it serves. A docket entry records an event. The file behind it holds the actual paper. The clerk can locate a record and explain copy procedures. But the clerk cannot tell a party what to file, how to argue, or which legal step to take next.
Several channels reach the office. Call (940) 684-1365, stop at the courthouse counter, or mail P.O. Box 539. You can also use the published fax, or start with the official clerk contact form or state-listed email. Ask about a public terminal or in-office inspection. The office publishes no confirmation of either. No case-copy order form, search fee, or per-page fee has been published. The same silence covers certification fees, payment methods, and turnaround promises.
When you contact the clerk, name the court, the cause number, and the exact document. Say whether you want inspection, a plain copy, or a certified copy. And do not quote the county's vital-record and real-property fees for a court case. Those schedules cover different records.
Foard County Court Record Route
Two different courts share one local clerk office in Foard County. The constitutional County Court is not the 46th District Court. The same combined office serves both. State verification lists County Court criminal, civil, juvenile, probate, and mental-health case categories. The County Judge route runs through P.O. Box 660, Crowell, TX 79227, phone (940) 684-1424, fax (940) 684-1426.
The official County Judge page posts that contact information.

That page gives contact details only. It offers no searchable case calendar, docket field list, or copy-fee table. For a County Court docket or filed record, reach the County Clerk side with the exact case context.
City-by-City Court Dockets in Foard County
Foard County has one incorporated city: Crowell. Census, Texas Comptroller, county, and incorporated-place records all agree on that point. The 2020 Census put Crowell's population at 769. The state municipal activity report uses a different figure. It counts 750, because it draws on its own reporting population. Keep the source labels attached so the two numbers are not mistaken for twins.
Crowell Court Records
Crowell Municipal Court keeps its city ordinance, Class C, and municipal traffic docket. Its nCourt portal searches exact citation or case numbers. County, district, and JP matters use separate routes.
(940) 684-1014
Crowell wears a second hat as the county seat. The courthouse at 101 S. Main holds the county-side clerk and court routes. The municipal portal lists the city court at 114 E. California instead. A Crowell municipal ticket belongs to the city court. It does not go to the 46th District Court or the Foard County Court.
Current Foard Notices, Not Dockets
The county's 2026 information environment offers public notices, a calendar, announcements, and a current Title VI nondiscrimination plan. All of that helps with county government information. None of it is a case-search portal, and the county has posted no announcement of a new Foard County public docket search. The state did update its justice and municipal reporting resources in July 2026. That update adds reporting, not a local public docket.
The official Announcements page carries the county's current notices.

The notices cover county subjects like burning, tax-abatement consideration, regional public notice, and disaster matters. None announces a docket redesign, fee change, public terminal, or electronic case-calendar launch. So the Foard County access picture stays as described here.
Map and Directions to the Foard County Courthouse
46th District Court felony, major civil, family, juvenile, and child-protection files, along with Foard County Court's county-level criminal, civil, probate, and mental-health files, are kept by the combined County and District Clerk at the Foard County Courthouse, 101 South Main, in Crowell, the county seat and its only incorporated city. The 46th District Court's judge and coordinator are based in Vernon, Texas, but the Foard case file and clerk counter stay at this Crowell courthouse.
